To create awareness of Laws, Procedures and Judicial institutions
Legal Aid & Legal Counseling
Legal advice, mediation and other related legal services
To collaborate with State Legal Services Authority to provide better legal
To comprehend and document the barriers faced in accessing justice within
the existing legal framework and recommend necessary reforms
To create a database of legal professionals who could provide, impart and
deliver the above mentioned components
The above mentioned objectives can be achieved by putting certain processes in
To Constitute a team / committee that will have legal professionals,
academicians, lawyers, paralegal workers, retired judicial and quasi-judicial
To Survey the current legal support / advice services in place
To visit Courts, Police Stations, Prisons, Rehabilitation & other relevant
institutions to comprehend the current needs
To ensure systematic documentation to ease out the process
MIT-WPU School of Law will successfully implement this initiative by providing
free services in the following areas-

To fill in the application forms
To sort the paper work
To accompany the parties in formal proceedings i.e. court, tribunal
To attend to take notes for personal record.
The 'Legal Aid' initiative can be replicated in other places and location by
incorporating web-based tools:
That could facilitate online application for help and support.
It shall prove helpful in creating a database of legal professionals online and
also signposting the needy to the right services.
It will be beneficial in keeping track of the progress of various grievances
brought before the clinic.
It will be fruitful in maintaining the confidentiality when encrypted and
stored in system / server.
